How we work

The structure of our party enables a policy befitting a people's party: a policy where as many people as possible can be involved in advance, bringing together different and specific concerns – local and regional, of young and old, of women and men, of Luxembourgers and non-Luxembourgers, … The goal is for as many members as possible to get involved and contribute.

Organigramm CSV

The CSV operates on three levels: the local level, close to the citizen, from over 100 sections, the regional level of the four electoral districts, and the national level

At the national level, on one side there is the party, which provides substantial and organizational impulses. On the other side, there is the faction of deputies responsible for parliamentary work. To ensure everything is coordinated, representatives from the faction, as well as the European deputies, are included in the national bodies such as the National Committee or the National Council.

The CSV General Secretariat coordinates all the administrative and public relations work of the party structures. The General Secretariat is usually also the point of contact for all inquiries to the national party (for questions about parliamentary work, the secretariat of the faction is responsible). In addition to the CSV structures, there are the grassroots organizations, the Youth in the CSV (CSJ), the Women (CSF), the CSV Municipal Councilors (CSG), the CSV Seniors and the CSV International, which operate autonomously.

The functioning of the party is regulated by the statutes. The functioning of the party is regulated by the statutes.
